Eric Gordon has over 30 years of technology leadership experience as a consultant and as a CIO of global companies in the retail, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing, health care, and hospitality industries. Eric has built a successful career driving business value through technology, and by transforming IT organizations to adapt to a changing digital world while maintaining a responsible cost structure. Eric’s deep experience in aligning business stakeholders and technology strategies to maximize value combined with his IT outsourcing, IT strategy, program management, and IT cost optimization expertise helps deliver that value at a fast pace. He has successfully transformed multiple IT organizations to operate at scale, with improved value, and at lean cost structures of 1.0% - 2.0% of sales.
Eric is also President of Versitae, an innovative technology outsourcing company. A Versitae Virtual Captive (or Global Services Center) is a dedicated offshore extension of a firm’s IT team. Comprised of only experienced resources, a Versitae Virtual Captive operates with more agility than traditional off-shore models. With both permanent and interim CIO experience at companies such as Michaels Stores, Collective Brands, Art Van Furniture, Capital Senior Living, and CEC Entertainment, Eric has executive and advisory experience across retail, restaurant, and fast-moving fashion industries in both public companies and PE portfolios. He began his career at Andersen Consulting and has also held senior leadership roles at Family Dollar and Springs Global. Eric holds a BA in Economics, and a BS in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and MBA from Rockhurst University. He is a Certified Internal Controls Risk Analyst with experience driving Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, and Business Continuity programs.
