Rob Schmults joined MidOcean’s Executive Board and is briging his experience in digital marketing to MidOcean’s portfolio companies. Mr. Schmults most recently served as Senior Vice President of eCommerce and CRM at Talbots, where he oversaw the company’s modernization and expansion of its digital, direct marketing and analytical capabilities. Prior to Talbots, Mr. Schmults was part of the leadership team at Intent Media, a big data decisioning and marketing firm. Before joining Intent Media in 2010, Mr. Schmults was CMO at Smart Destinations, a ticketing platform for museums, sights, and tours. Mr. Schmults also spent several years at GSI Commerce (acquired by eBay), leading a business unit responsible for the online stores of over 30 retailers and brands, ranging from Adidas to Bath & Body Works to Major League Baseball to iRobot. Earlier in his career, he led the retail practice of Fort Point Partners building ecommerce platforms for companies like BestBuy and J.Crew.
