James (“Jimmy”) Hexter is a Global Executive, Investor, Board Member and Senior Advisor with over 30 years of experience working across a range of industries, geographies and functions. Mr Hexter spent over 20 years with McKinsey & Co in a variety of roles including Global co-Head of the Operations Practice, Founding Head and Global Lead of the Real Estate, Construction and Infrastructure Practice, Chairman of the Beijing Office and CFO of the Greater China Practice. After leaving McKinsey & Co in 2014, Mr. Hexter led the Global Operating Team for a leading global consumer focused private equity firm and was a partner in an innovative multi-family office.
Mr. Hexter has served on a variety of boards such as Peloton, Steiner Leisure, Avenue5 and others. Mr. Hexter is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees of The American Ballet Theater and is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, Mr. Hexter is a Professor of the Practice and the Philip Van Horn Gerdine Professor in Global Business at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. Mr. Hexter spent over 20 years living in Asia and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
